Winter and spring school holidays are the best time to start to get fit for summer, although one only might have a week or so off from school and work. It’s a good time to start a new routine and prepare for summer. Costa del Sol is the perfect place to go when you need to get away for a few days.
Winter is not coming! Winter never arrives here.
The climate on Costa del Sol is unique, and there is no real winter. Might be that not many go for a swim at the beach in February, but the temperature is perfect for all kind of sports.
At Quartiers Marbella Apartments you find the perfect conditions and facilities for a variety of popular sports.
Some of the sports that you can practice while staying with us during a short break in winter are; golf, running, mountain biking, hiking, swimming an horse riding. You can even go skiing if you take a drive to the Sierra Nevada ski resort. It’s not very far from us. Click here to read about Sierra Nevada.

Hiking and biking
The Benahavis area is great for hiking and mountain biking. Several tracks are going up the mountain. The nature in southern Spain at this time of the year is beautiful.
If you’re not a mountain person, go for a walk on the beach, or by the sea.
The sea promenades, (paseos maritimos), in Marbella, Puerto Banus, San Pedro and Estepona are wonderful; they stretch along the coast and the Mediterranean. All of them are free from car traffic, which makes them family-friendly even if you are riding a bicycle, or strolling around with small children.
When you’re done with your training you can gather the family and go shopping. You can visit the safari park Selwo Aventura in Estepona, Selwo Marina in Benalmadena or the zoo in Fuengirola, Bioparc.
Take the kids to play on the beach, or go visit the monkeys in Gibraltar
