Although the winter is very mild and pleasant on the Costa del Sol, there is something special in the air when spring arrives. When February ends, the whole area wakes up again, and the terraces fill up with people.
The spring-summer season is already coming to the south of Spain
The days are getting longer, and the beach clubs are preparing for warm and sunny beach days. During the spring, Easter is the busiest time in the area. It can get hard to park, book a room or a table. Make sure to book your tickets, apartment and activities in time!

While it still is cold in the rest of Europe, spring is a wonderful time to go hiking and walk on Costa del Sol. Nature is waking up, and the temperatures are mild and pleasant. If you want to enjoy the sea, you can walk all the way from Estepona to Marbella. All along the way, the route follows the coast between these two towns passing by San Pedro Alcantara. It goes along beaches, promenades and marinas. If you walk it all the way, it will take you around 7 hours, the distance is 27 kilometres.
Rent a bicycle
Cycling is another way to enjoy the beach promenades and the mountain. There are many shops in Estepona, San Pedro, Puerto Banus and Marbella where you can rent road bikes, mountain bikes or an electric bicycle. Most of them also offer rentals of baby seats and helmets.
Mountain hiking
The nature that surrounds Benahavis is perfect for hiking. There are many hiking trails in the area, including La Sierra de las Nieves in Benahavis and Estepona. In Marbella, it is popular to hike the mountain La Concha y La Cruz de Juanar, where you can get the most spectacular views of the coast. La Cruz de Juanar in Marbella also is a very popular Instagram spot where you can take the perfect photo shot of your hike.
Horse Riding
